The condition of a coil on arrival decides whether the order was profitable. This export grade galvanized steel coil is packed for long ocean voyages: VCI film, waterproof paper, galvanized steel outer wrap, three circumferential and two longitudinal straps on a fumigation-free pallet, with desiccant inside the wrap and air bags in the container. Coil weight is controlled between 3 and 8 metric tons, and inner diameter is available at 508 mm or 610 mm to suit the buyer's decoiler and crane spreader. Zinc coating runs from Z60 to Z275, thickness 0.2 mm to 3.0 mm, width 600 mm to 1250 mm, with chromated, oiled or dry surface as required. We treat packing as an engineering item, not an afterthought, because white rust and edge deformation are the two most common causes of a rejected container.

Export packed coil suits distributors, service centres and traders who resell or hold stock, as well as manufacturers in remote locations where a replacement coil takes six weeks to arrive. Because the packing blocks moisture, the coil can sit in a port warehouse or on a dealer's rack for months without white rust, which protects the resale value of the material. The 3 to 8 ton weight band is chosen for standard 20ft container loading and for plants with modest lifting capacity, while 508 mm and 610 mm inner diameters cover the decoilers used in most roll forming and slitting operations worldwide.
Each coil is wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion film, covered by a layer of waterproof kraft paper and a galvanized steel outer skin, then secured with three circumferential and two longitudinal steel straps on a fumigation-free plywood pallet. Eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall orientation is confirmed against the buyer's unloading equipment, and a desiccant pack is added for long sea voyages. Coils are loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with timber dunnage and air bags to prevent shifting.
Every shipment is accompanied by a mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1, a packing list and a coating weight report, and third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before loading.
We have shipped galvanized coil to more than sixty countries and we know the failure modes: condensation in a cold container, edge damage from poor dunnage, rust from a torn wrap. Each of those is designed out in our packing specification, and the loading team photographs every coil so that both sides have a record before the doors close. Documentation is issued in English and can be legalised or certified as required by the destination customs. If a shipment does arrive with a problem, we work from the photographs and the retained certificate data to resolve it quickly, and we will replace material where the cause is ours.
Our export packing standard has been refined over fifteen years of container shipments and is supervised by a dedicated loading team. We operate under ISO 9001:2015 and welcome pre-shipment inspection by SGS, BV, Intertek or the buyer's own representative.
Tell us the destination port, the unloading equipment and the expected storage time, and we will propose the packing level that keeps the coil in saleable condition without paying for protection the route does not need.
