Anti-fingerprint galvanized steel coil solves a problem that appears only after the steel leaves the mill: visible handling marks. A transparent organic film is applied over the chromate passivation and cured, giving the surface a low-friction, slightly matte character that resists the fingerprints and palm marks which appear on ordinary galvanized sheet when it is cut, stacked and installed without gloves.
This coil carries a Z275 zinc coating, 0.3 mm to 2.0 mm thickness, 508 mm inner diameter, and is oiled for additional protection in transit. The film is thin enough that the sheet can still be welded and painted after the recommended pretreatment, yet thick enough to survive normal site handling without showing every touch.

Anti-fingerprint coil is the standard choice for visible galvanized steel that will be handled before installation: appliance outer panels, air conditioner housings, switch cabinets, vending machines, shelving and display fixtures, ceiling and partition systems, elevator car linings, and architectural cladding where the client will inspect the surface from close range.
It is also common in export packaging and in products assembled in clean rooms, where bare galvanized sheet would leave marks on gloves and transfer them back to the part. Because the film lowers friction, fabricators often report less die polishing downtime when they switch from untreated coil.
Each coil is wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion film, covered by a layer of waterproof kraft paper and a galvanized steel outer skin, then secured with three circumferential and two longitudinal steel straps on a fumigation-free plywood pallet. Eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall orientation is confirmed against the buyer’s unloading equipment, and a desiccant pack is added for long sea voyages.
Coils are loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with timber dunnage and air bags to prevent shifting. Every shipment is accompanied by a mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1, a packing list and a coating weight report, and third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before loading.
Anti-fingerprint coil needs careful packing because the film is the selling point. We wrap each coil in protective film, add edge protection, and load with air bags to eliminate movement in the container. Coils are stored in a dry warehouse before loading and inspected for film uniformity at the head and tail.
Our technical team can advise on welding and painting procedures for the specific film used, and we can supply samples of 1 to 2 metres so that your line can trial the surface before committing to a container. ISO 9001:2015 certification applies to the coating process, and third-party inspection is available.
Customers specifying anti-fingerprint material usually have a quality complaint behind the requirement, which is why we test film adhesion and salt spray performance on every production lot and keep retained samples for a year. Our coating section has run since 2008 and supplies appliance, cabinet and cladding manufacturers across Asia, Europe and South America. We will tell you honestly when a standard chromated coil is sufficient for your process, because overspecifying surface treatment adds cost that a buyer ultimately pays for without benefit.
