Not every buyer needs a two-metre wide master coil. This narrow width galvanized steel strip coil is slit from full-width hot dip galvanized stock into widths from 20 mm to 630 mm, with thickness from 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm, wound on 300 mm, 400 mm or 508 mm inner diameter cores, and delivered as compact coils that fit directly onto a press feed or a tube mill. Precision slitting is the product here: width tolerance within ±0.1 mm on narrow sizes, burr below 0.03 mm, and camber controlled so that a 20 mm strip does not wander in a roll former. That level of control removes the scrap and downtime that come from slitting wide coil on an undersized machine, and it lets small manufacturers buy finished-width material without investing in a slitting line.

Narrow galvanized strip feeds tube mills, cable tray and trunking lines, shelving uprights, roller shutter slats, metal picture frames, hose clamps, automotive clips, electrical conduit, fence wires and packaging strapping. Buyers in these segments typically run one machine and cannot absorb the cost of a slitting line, so buying finished-width strip is the difference between taking an order and declining it. The tight burr and camber tolerances matter most in tube forming and roll forming, where a wandering strip produces oval tube and rejected profiles. We can also supply oscillate-wound or spooled strip for continuous feed applications.
Each coil is wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion film, covered by a layer of waterproof kraft paper and a galvanized steel outer skin, then secured with three circumferential and two longitudinal steel straps on a fumigation-free plywood pallet. Eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall orientation is confirmed against the buyer's unloading equipment, and a desiccant pack is added for long sea voyages. Coils are loaded into 20 ft or 40 ft containers with timber dunnage and air bags to prevent shifting. Every shipment is accompanied by a mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1, a packing list and a coating weight report, and third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before loading. Narrow coils are additionally protected with edge protectors, and for widths below 50 mm, several coils are packed per bundle to reduce handling damage.
We operate slitting lines with computerised width setting and laser verification, and we have supplied narrow strip to tube makers and hardware manufacturers in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and South America. Our ISO 9001:2015 system covers slitting as a separate process step with its own inspection records, and each bundle carries width, thickness, coating weight and heat number.
Send us a width list and a monthly tonnage, and we will return a slitting plan that shows exactly how many coils can be obtained from each master coil, including the trim loss you will avoid.
