An appliance panel is judged by its finish, and the finish begins with the coil. This appliance panel galvanized steel coil is zero spangle and skin passed, 0.4 mm to 1.0 mm thick, chromated and lightly oiled, with a surface roughness window chosen so that powder coating and liquid paint flow out to an even film without orange peel. The substrate is a low carbon draw quality steel with controlled silicon and phosphorus, which keeps the panel flat after blanking and prevents the high temperature discolouration that some chemistries cause during curing. Refrigerator wrappers, washing machine cabinets and air conditioner front panels are visible from every angle in a showroom, so we inspect surface defects under controlled lighting and reject coils with roll marks, zinc dust or uncoated spots before they are packed.

Beyond white goods, this coil is used for microwave oven cavities and outer wrappers, water heater shells, range hood bodies, dishwasher panels, vending machine cabinets, commercial refrigeration cases and air conditioner outdoor unit housings. Appliance manufacturing runs on takt time, so a coil that forms and paints predictably is worth more than a marginally cheaper one that forces the line to slow down or rework. The zero spangle surface also suits customers who laminate film or apply anti-fingerprint coating, and the chromate layer gives a reliable key for both powder and solvent borne systems.
Each coil is wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion film, covered by a layer of waterproof kraft paper and a galvanized steel outer skin, then secured with three circumferential and two longitudinal steel straps on a fumigation-free plywood pallet. Eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall orientation is confirmed against the buyer's unloading equipment, and a desiccant pack is added for long sea voyages. Coils are loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with timber dunnage and air bags to prevent shifting.
Every shipment is accompanied by a mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1, a packing list and a coating weight report, and third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before loading.
We supply appliance grade coil to white goods OEMs and their tier one stampers, and we understand incoming inspection: coating weight, roughness, oil film, hardness and adhesion all have to sit inside the customer's window on the first try. Our laboratory reports these values with each shipment, and we retain a reference sample from every lot for twelve months. The mill operates under ISO 9001:2015 with a documented control plan for appliance grades. If you are developing a new panel, send us the drawing and the paint system and we will propose substrate grade, coating weight and roughness before you place a tooling order.
Our appliance coil programme has run for more than a decade and supplies customers in Japan, Korea, Turkey, Egypt, Brazil and India. We hold ISO 9001:2015 certification, run salt spray, bend and impact tests in house, and accept third-party pre-shipment inspection. Where a customer encounters a paint defect, we test the retained sample against the complaint, share the results and settle the issue on evidence.
