Zero spangle galvanized steel coil is the grade customers ask for when the steel will be seen. After galvanizing, the coil passes through a skin pass mill that mechanically suppresses the zinc spangle, leaving a uniformly matte, finely grained surface that hides die marks and takes powder coating or liquid paint with an even gloss. We supply SGCC to JIS G3302 with coating weights from Z60 to Z275, thickness 0.3 mm to 2.5 mm, in widths up to 1250 mm. Because the surface is the product, our inspection standard is stricter than the clause list: no zinc skid marks, no uncoated spots, no roll marks, and roughness Ra controlled within a narrow window so that downstream painting lines do not have to re-adjust their pretreatment chemistry for every delivery.

The zero spangle finish is chosen wherever appearance and coating quality decide the sale. It is standard for appliance side panels, refrigerator wrappers, microwave oven cavities, switch cabinet and control panel enclosures, air conditioner chassis, furniture frames and office partition systems. In construction it serves painted wall cladding, ceiling grids, door frames and lift shaft linings, where a visible spangle pattern would read as a defect to the end user. Because the surface accepts powder coating without telegraphing, many customers buy zero spangle coil and send it directly to their own coil coating line, skipping an intermediate grinding step.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEach coil is wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion film, covered by a layer of waterproof kraft paper and a galvanized steel outer skin, then secured with three circumferential and two longitudinal steel straps on a fumigation-free plywood pallet. Eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall orientation is confirmed against the buyer's unloading equipment, and a desiccant pack is added for long sea voyages. Coils are loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with timber dunnage and air bags to prevent shifting. Every shipment is accompanied by a mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1, a packing list and a coating weight report, and third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before loading.
Manufacturing Experience & ComplianceWe have supplied SGCC zero spangle coil to appliance OEMs and panel builders in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Turkey and Mexico, and those accounts run incoming inspection on coating weight, roughness and oil film every month. Our laboratory is equipped for salt spray testing to ASTM B117, bend and impact testing, and roughness profilometry, so claims are settled with data within days. The mill operates under ISO 9001:2015 and issues a certificate of analysis with each lot. If your painting line has a preferred pretreatment or a roughness window, tell us the numbers at the enquiry stage and we will target them in production rather than shipping a generic coil and leaving the adjustment to you.
