The 22MnB5 hot stamping boron steel coil is a dedicated press hardening grade produced for lightweight automotive safety structures. Zhengde rolls this boron-manganese steel on automated hot strip mills with strict soaking and coiling temperature control, then pickles and oils the strip so blanks can be cut and formed immediately. After hot stamping and die quenching the material reaches a guaranteed 1500 MPa tensile strength, which lets carmakers replace thick high strength steel assemblies with thinner press hardened parts that absorb more energy per kilogram. Every heat is verified by spectroscopy and hardenability testing in our laboratory, and each coil is shipped with heat numbers and EN 10204 3.1 documentation so parts makers can trace the material back to its origin. The grade is supplied in thicknesses from 1.5mm to 3.5mm with widths to 1600mm, and slit widths are available for blanking optimization.

22MnB5 hot stamping steel is the mainstream material for lightweight body-in-white safety parts: B pillars, front and rear bumpers, roof rails, door intrusion beams and tunnel reinforcements. Press hardened components deliver 1500 MPa strength with thin gauges, cutting body weight while improving crash performance. The pickled and oiled coil form allows direct blanking and forming at 900-950 degrees C in continuous roller hearth furnaces, which is the standard process in automotive hot stamping lines.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceCoils are protected with anti-rust paper, plastic film, metal edge protectors, wooden pallets and steel straps for ocean freight. Zhengde operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality system; each heat is verified by optical emission spectroscopy and tensile testing in our laboratory, with SGS, BV or TUV third-party inspection available before shipment. Standard delivery is 7-15 days for stock sizes and 20-30 days for mill production orders.
