The 65Mn high carbon spring steel coil is a manganese alloyed carbon steel containing 0.62 to 0.70 percent carbon, formulated for components that require high hardness, wear resistance and elastic strength after heat treatment. Typical applications include leaf springs, coil springs, saw blades, cutting tools, scrapers, clutch plates and mechanical springs where the material must return to its original shape under repeated loading. The strip is produced with strict control of decarburization and surface defects, because surface quality directly determines the fatigue life of finished springs and blades.
